Eating at the White House

Eating at the White House

Well,  I was not invited to The White House but almost every other week my husband and I do dine at the White House in Atlanta.  It is a real breakfast joint.   From the eggs with grits and real homefries to the staff, who some have been with the White House for almost 26 years.  The original restaurant opened in 1948 but got a redo in the 80’s.    We have gotten to know the owners and they are just wonderful people.   So welcoming and charming and all the staff is like family.  Some of the dishes are Greek-inspired which just adds to the Yum factor.   My favorite dish is the Olympian egg white omelet with sliced rye bread.   So Mezza followers come join me for breakfast at the White House no presidential attire required….
